I was checking Tigerdirect for kicks to get a ball park figure on prices and I can get a Toshiba 46" for just a bit over 1k! That was one of the most expensive ones, the others were from brands I never heard of so I'd have to check reviews before I buy, and I'd probably buy locally anyway.
Is this because LCD TVs are considered obsolete or is it still worth getting one? Once I pay off my loans (about 10k left) I want to look into buying a TV then later on a decent 2.1 system (my room is not really well designed for 4.1 - I'll keep that for the rec room which is a future project) so by then they might even go down even more.
