Just bought it yesterday and I have a very small house And I am having a hard time getting a signal 150ft seems real weak. Lots of threads about it.
What would be another router of choice just for Light use but with good range?
I use an ipad and Roku

There is No magic Wireless Routers. Small or Big house, 150' indoor is beyond a the capacity of single Wireless Router (unless it is one big 150' room).

Lay a Cable to a Good open spot in between (like the main Hallway and install there a second Wireless Router configured as an Access Point connected to the main Router.

Using Wireless Cable/DSL Routers (or Modem/Wireless Router) as a Switch with an Access Point - http://www.ezlan.net/router_AP.html

WNDR3700 is a pretty good router. Maybe you just got a dud unit (try replacing)? Maybe you're placing it in a bad location (try moving)?
