I can't play the wmv format in FireFox. They don't open and I have to use IE. Am I missing an extension or plugin? I don't get a message to download a plugin.
Site in question

did you install the wimp AND active-x plug in?
embedded wmp files almost always need the active x plug in. and don't worry the ff active-x plug in ONLY allows wmp.

Man, it's too bad we don't have a software forum or anything. That would kick ass because everyone would post all the software stuff in the correct forum. I am sad.

Oh, well, in that case, instead of bumping the thread or finding a fix on your own by searching the internet, the only solution is obvious: post in the wrong forum. Obviously.

FF and streaming media is like a box of chocolates...

FYI, it works for me though, no specially installed plugins. Some sites don't work, however.

That was a very weak reply. I had hoped to have this long drawn out flaming name-calling argument. :( Now I'll just have to go cry in the corner!

If I type the url for the video in, it starts WMP and plays.
It won't self load in the browser.
