WMP9 update question.

I use the player updates for WMP9, and it comes up with some new window that says new updates are available and asks if I want to download.

Is there any way to have it tell me what exactly is the update, and what with bedownloaded like in WMP7.x and 8.x, and also maybee select only certain updates to be installed like in the older versions.

Yes I know, but some of these bug fixes and features may take over and change some features on my system. WMP9 replaced the default WMP6.4 activeX control in IE. I managed to restore the 6.4 as default but I don't want WMP9 to install something and take over aggain.
