I thought I was pretty savvy with WMP until now. Under the Monitor Folders tab, I manually set which folder I want WMP to monitor. All was well until a few days ago.
I have a folder called "Media" and inside that I have "Music" where I have my 320KB/s MP3 collection. A few days ago I ripped/copied my MP3 library to a much lower bitrate for my MP3 player. Those lower bitrate files are in a folder "Low BR MP3s" under the "Music" folder, which WMP is monitoring.
So then under WMP I had duplicates of all the songs; one song at 320KBs and a duplicate at the lower BR. I hid the Low BR MP3 folder and rescanned the library; WMP did not delete the files. I REMOVED the Low BR MP3 folder from the Music folder and rescanned; all songs still there.
I restarted the computer. Still there.
Is there a way to WIPE the library and start fresh?
