Fresh install of XP pro with WMP10 and I am having a problem but only on some videos. Some of the skin tones have a terrible reddish tint to them. It on the whole video but just easier to tell on skin.
Any way to take a screenshot of WMP???? I can post it if necessary.

Anyone know if this could be related to codecs? something else?

Just a small update.

I have another program called VideoRedo in which I can cut portions of the video out and the same video looks fine in it??????

Not sure if that means it's only a WMP problem or not.
Any ideas?

I had the problem w/ WMP 9 , but after updating it to WMP 10 it fixed it.

Regardless, its probably better to use Media Player Classic. It has less issues.

Microsoft is trying to make you upgrade to WMP 11... 😀 Try the K-Lite codec pack also. And as Slick said, if all else fails go for Media Player Classic!

It does the same in WMPClassic.

I can try the klite codec pack but I've never had to use it beofre. Normally ffdshow is all I ever install. Although, for some reason, I couldn't get WMP to play .tivo files so I found
Cole2k Media Codec while searching the tivo forums and that fixed tivo playback.

IMHO K-Lite=sh!t
I've found they have way to many codecs in that thing (like 6 mpeg1/2 codecs??? How the fsck does it choose?)

CCCP=Much better 😀
