WMP causing problems, help por favor

Every time I close windows media player 9.0 it ALWAYS crashes (this is started like a week ago, havent installed anything to my knowledge). Also, If I click on a file and it is a wmv file and shows up in the side, my exporer.exe crashes on me. Guys got any ideas on what could be causing this? Ive Already reinstalled WMP to no avail.

Im running Windows 2000. Thx in advance.

If you setup the FOLDERS in Classic view rather than
Web based, the mini-Media player is no longer present.

MS Active Desktop at its best.
