WMP can't see my audio Hardware!

I just got a new computer based on the soyo dragon+....got sound installed.....windows plays startup sounds, winamp plays mp3's, and AIM does im sounds......but I can't watch my movies because whenever i open them.....it says "no audio hardware avaliable".....same player i was using before, and no other programs seem to be having a problem here.........help?

try un-installing wmp and installing it again, I was having a similar problem and that seemed to do it for me.

Yeah, i tried that, i'm using just the mplayer2.exe for it though, i tried using version 7, but that can't see it either!

did you try tweaking in bios with the onboard sound properties, maybe disabling it, booting, then re-enabling it on next restart?

well audio works overall, just WMP can't "find" my audio hardware, or so it says, no other program seems to have any trouble giving me sound...i'm using the most updated drivers for it too.....
