WMP 10 problem

I have a trouble playing video back in WMP. It use to work fine, but now it looks like this:

This is an Xvid .avi file. WMV files work fine, though. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Xvid codec and WMP, but neither work. I know the file is not bad as I have tried several different files and these files on other computers.

hmm looks wierd. would it be possible for you to dlownload the 5mg winamp program and try the file in that? just to see if it is wmp or not.

I have tried Nero showtime. Looks perfectly fine there. Everything looks the same in winamp.

I think it might be a codec problem?

yea my vote is for codec problem. Try removing any new codecs or codec packs you have recently installed.
