WMA to MP3, is it possible?

which tool should I use to go from WMA to MP3 if it is possible? Thanks.

Probably easiest to go wma -> wav -> mp3

It's a question of why, more than how. You'll lose sound quality in the process so it's not worth doing unless, say, you need to get it onto an MP3 only portable player. I think someone already suggested WMA Workshop which will do the job as well as anything...

MP3 is around everywhere. but not WMA. It's like Bill Gate just came up with the .NET idea. Nobody really supporting it. Anyway, to me once you convert it to WMA you pretty much stuck with WMA and handed all of your right and sh*t to MS.

And have you read the review/comment on Media Player 9? Once you install it, you stuck with it. MS won't even let you uninstall it. I'm still using Media Player 8. I don't want the latest and newest bug on my PC.

true, but i know that WMA does have its benefits. i have cds for my car/home, mp3 rips of same on my comp, and wma COPIES for use on my portable mp3 so i can store more of them. can't really tell the difference on a lower end portable anyway. havent had any problems with media player 9, 8 actually had more problems for me and the ability to fast forward/rewind movie clips is worth it for me. a lot of XP updates are like that, unable to be uninstalled anyway. if you were so hardcore about not letting MS get on your comp you would be using WMP 6.4 anyway ;-)
