WM10 Question

1. Is there a way to remove all codec on my winxp box?
2. When I try to play some WMV videos or other formats, my computer freezes for a long time with WMP 10. Sometimes I hear audio, no video, and the computer comes to a complete freeze. I've reinstalled WMP 10, but didn't help. Any suggestions on what could be causing this.

Thinking of going back to Windows Media Player 9

I dont know where the codecs would be located, but you can turn on lots of advanced search options and type in some of the codecs you have. Im guessing you may have downloaded one of those codec packs?

I use Klite++Megacodec pack 1.13 and it works great with WMP10. Maybe that's your problem: WMP10 can't find the proper codec and is crashing.

Try the one I listed and see if things get better.

PS:it also has Real alternate player and Alternate Quicktime player.
