It's not even safe what you're doing, you are not "teaching" anybody anything; and what's worse? He could have been one of those whacko that kill people over road rage, do you ever think about that before acting stupid like this? You have kid(s) right? Do you think about them? Something to think about right?

He's probably pissed off from having to deal with you so his actions afterwards could be explanable. Yours however is unexplanable, and inexcusable. Get off your fvcking high horse and MYGDB.

I didn't create the situation dumbass. He did. You don't go passing people on the shoulder or veer into oncoming traffic just because you're in a hurry.

Wait, so let me get this right. It's OK for you to do so to block him? (let's sing together now children... twoooo wronnngggg... don'ttt maakkeee a riggtttt... Damn I suck at singing, amongst other things). Hmm... dumbass does come in to play here. Besides, what harm to YOU could have been done if you were just driving as you would normally? Oh, btw, YOU caused him to veer into oncoming traffic. Like I said, way to go @ss.

All I'm saying is that there are cause and effect to everything you do. If you haven't acted (and I have no idea why), he wouldn't have reacted. Think about your kids man.

I dunno man. You never know the situation. Maybe there was somebody laying the in back seat with a medical emergency. You just never know. I'm happy to let idiot drivers fly right on past me, that way I know they can't hit me. Doesn't hurt my ego in the slightest.

It was a stop sign that that man was about to run.. it could have been YOUR kids that the man was about to hit.
How do you know he was going to run the stop sign? As stated in the OP, I see that they do had the time to go back and forth on the blocking. The OP just didn't want to see someone else take pole position, for whatever reasons.

Douchbagchery is strong here.

If someone wants to get by be badly enough that they are willing to chance oncoming traffic, I usually let them go.

Who knows what they might be in the rush to get to. Kids, elderly parents.. never know.

And if they are just being a dic... well, not worth my aggravation. I am more concerned about the ppl who wont let me pass. ;)

Are you being facetious or are you really retarded?

You didn't really "let" him go, you did about all you can to NOT let him go.

I updated my post with a little more detail and I'll paraphrase for you. There wasn't room for him to pass me on the right or the left. The only thing I did was not let him wedge his car in between me and the fence on my right. Yeah, I didn't make it easy for him but you know I don't have a whole lot of sympathy for people who are breaking the law.

In short...fvck him.

...

Let me pause while I LOL.

1. It's a two-lane road, two directions of traffic
2. It's illegal to pass on such a road
3. It's dangerous to pass on such a road, especially with no shoulder
4. Passing on left in the path of oncoming traffic is a BIG no-no
5. OP's actions have no influence whatsoever on an arse like the crazy driver

OP's actions are perfectly explainable and while it isn't good practice, is also excusable in this situation.

The other driver's actions are completely inexcusable.

OP is not cop, in a case of any accident he would be blamed for reckless driving. The only proper action is to call the cops. Taking justice in own hands is not plausible.

people that do things other than drive along on their merry way are tools.

in this case neither the OP or the fsckwad in the story are exempt.

Proper strategy would be to let him get along side then tap his rear quater as he attempts to merger back in.... j/k.

Seriously thought, perhaps it would have been best just to let the fvcker pass....

If the guy wants to pass you then let him. Never stop someone.

How do you know what his intentions are? Whatever they are.. they are not to get at you. They will be out to get at YOU once you get involved in their business.

Let the police handle it.

For all you know you just stopped someone from something very important ... maybe his children were stranded somewhere and he was driving like a maniac to get to them.

& im not really saying u r right/wrong. I might have done the same thing. Depends on my mood.
