I loved that series growing up. The Planeteers, the villains, even Captain Planet himself. Sure, series was kinda cheesy (even realized that at the time), but it was pretty cool. My favorite character was Wheeler, of course. Fire = awesome, plus the guy was from Brooklyn (represent!).

EDIT: Whoa, profile on Turner website says he could use lightning, too. I don't remember that, that's crazy awesome. Red hair, green eyes, lightning - dude was practically Crono.

I bet a lot of studios would love to produce that movie or any Captain Planet movie now. You know, jump on the whole 80s/early 90s cartoon remakes bandwagon.
