With Vince Carter OUT, Toronto is actually playing BETTER.

I was reading some articles about Vince Carter's lack of heart, leading to his lackluster playing....settling for the 3 pointer too often. Or was it because of his injury that he was supposedly playing with.

My theory is that Vince will be this generation's Dominique Wilkins and Kobe will be the MJ. Just my opinion...

I guess i could see that. i was a big hawks fan back then, i lived in atlanta, but i don't believe that atlanta went on winning streaks w/o nique tho. he was a lot better than people give him credit for.

And the Sixers are doing ok without Iverson. Selfish players have good stats, but the teams CAN survive without them.

yeah... the raps are my favorite nba team, but I think vince is a bum. All you have to do is take a look at any interviews with him, he acts like a guy without a care in the world (guess he loves that new contract). Last year he was pretty key in the playoffs, maybe the injuries really have been holding him back. Or it's just bs. Guess we won't know til next year.

I think 'Nique rocked, but in the end, he was forgotten because he didn't win any titles. As will Vince if he doesn't win titles, either....

True, they are playing better but don't forget 2 things,

1) he was doing his best playing on a bad knee for much of the season

2) he led them to the conference finals last year, and was one graduation day from getting to the finals

2b) but yep, he's still overrated. 🙂

Raptors lost in Indiana last night, but they're still looking pretty good for the playoffs. Pretty impressive when you think of that streth of 17 losses.

Carter plays kinda soft - settles for the jumper way too much. That's why his cousin, Tracy McGrady, overtook him this year. McGrady's playing with passion in Orlando.

It's true that Carter's had injuries to deal with, but it's the mark of a star to be able to play through those - like Iverson in last year's playoffs.
