It says... Typical order takes 10 business days. Not certain if that includes shipping.

$37 for M&M's, nah thanks. If my gf really liked them I'd do it, but she doesn't care for sweets in general.

true... but it's cheaper than a dozen roses from most floral shoppes.

When I met my wife I told her this.

I do not buy x-mas, valentines day, sweetest day, birthday, or any other day presents and do not expect them from people. When I buy you something it is becuase I want to buy you something, not because it was dictated by society. So you have 2 choices, only get presents on those days, or get them when I'm in the mood, which is usually more often.

She picked the usually more often.

i don't see a problem with that and you told her beforehand so she knew what to expect and not to expect.

My Fiancee and I don't celebrate this hallmark day...

We have enough special days the rest of the year that are all much cheaper than anything on that day...

Wow. I can sort of understand Xmas and whatnot, but a birthday? That's a celebration of a person's life.

We like to celebrate Valentine's Day. We started somewhat of a tradition last year by staying at the Millenium Hotel here in St. Louis. They have a sweethearts package that gives you an arch-view room, champagne and the chefs in the restaurant prepare some sort of chocolate dish for the two of you to share in the room.

There is a restaurant at the top of the hotel called "Top of the Riverfront" and it's a revolving place. Very romantic. They also have a specially prepared "sweethearts menu" that is really good, with heart-shaped desserts included and special cocktails. It makes for a very romantic evening and a lot of fun.

Not really on the subject of M&M's.....hope you're not mad mosh....I could invite you for next year to make it up. ;)

i just found a way to sweeten the deal
M&Ms.com - 4 bags of custom Valentine's M&Ms, gift box for $38, code: MYMM04

Code MYMM04 gives free shipping and free Valentine's Gift Box with a custom printed order of M&Ms.

http://shop2.mms.com/home/index.asp

Press "Custom Printed M&Ms" on the front page, choose messages and colors. Then choose a minimum of 4 of 8oz bags for $9.49 each ($38 for 4). Do not add a Gift Box for $2.49. View your shopping cart, and enter code MYMM04 in the upper-right to get free shipping and a free gift box.

Seems a bit high for a few large bags of M&M's...but the idea is definitely interesting and would make for a very unique valentine's day gift.
Valentine's day is the worst holiday ever. It makes single people feel like losers, and people with SOs spend tons of money on useless garbage.
