my grill from the past 5 years doesn't seem to work anymore, so i need a new one. it was one a strathwood from amazon way back when. Tried cleaning the elements, but there's a tube I just couldn't get to without dismantling the entire thing and it didn't look to have any unusual wear so :shrug. It only heats up to ~200 degrees with a full propane tank.

The genesis series seems significantly more substantial than the spirit's from my interaction at the store. My parents have had the same weber for about 15 years now.

Just go buy it. A couple weeks ago we just happened to drop into an appliance store for another reason. Right by the door they had last year's SP-310. It's black/stainless on the outside, but has the stainless grill, flavorizer bars, drip pan, everything.....and we got it for $467+tax.

i love that damn thing. Worth every penny at its normal price, and an absolute steal at $470.

I have a Ducane gas grill. Three burner. Got a natural gas hookup for the BBQ installed three years ago and never looked back. If you're cooking with gas, its the only way to go. Propane is for chumps.

Purchased a 310 a couple years ago and it does a good job. Luckily it stays warm enough to use it year round, unless we get a freak snow storm.

well, got a new regulator/hose today and still get 200 degree temps with all 4 burners going. prolly gonna get the weber.

Grills aren't rocket science. If the regulator is working fine, there has to be an occlusion in the manifold that serves the 4 burners. Hey, if you just want to buy a new shiny, don't let reason stand in your way. 🙂

Forget propane, throw another log in the firebox.

I tried a propane grill, and the taste just can not compare to charcoal or real wood.

I have a smoker which I do pork shoulders, briskets, ribs etc in as well as Webber traditional kettle grill.

The the majority of my outdoor cooking is done on a cast iron fire pit over an open oak fire. There's nothing else like it. My wife, son and I cook out probably four days a week.

This isn't my pit but looks very similar.
