With my hardware, what settings on Farcry should be playable?

I think we've had this discussion before and I suggested 1152x864 with 16xAF and 0xAA on that rig.

It's actually running quite fine at 1280x1024, Very High, 4xAA, 8xAF (how do I turn on 16xAF?). 40fps avg. at these settings.

My 9800pro and 3200XP manage high with some at very high at 1680x1050 but no AA or AF.

It's a very good game engine 🙂

Diasper, the thing is is that at Very High, my 6800 is running SM 3.0 and you're 9800pro would not be running it because it doesn't support.

Doesn't SM 3.0 hinder performance a little bit?

I mean if you had a 6800GT running at Very High and a X800XL at Very High, the 6800GT would have SM 3.0 working while the X800XL would not. Would that mean that the 6800GT would perform (FPS-wize) a little slower than the X800XL all while looking better in the graphics department?
