Guess you didn't read the thread, Mark.

Right now I have $0 in loans. I don't forsee loans in the future, but if I do, they will be paid by the folks. Their gift to me is free university education, and after that, that's it, I'm on my own.

And by the way, how have you been? UW treating you good? Still with the same girl? It's been like... almost 3 years now eh?

And happy belated :)

Meh, I'm just lazy, but yeah granted the fact that you've got your university education paid for, invest it, it'll pay off in the future.. hell, drop it into a RRSP and write it off at tax season.

Nah, got a new girlfriend, heh, she goes to UW as well, Civil Eng.

UW's been great actually, wouldn't trade it for anything, doing my 3rd co-op job right now, good times...

That's probably what I'm doing, but I have to time it so I claim it for my RRSP at the right time. :)

Oh yea? How long was that? Congrats :)

Where are you working now?

Put it into your retirement fund. Or else just put it into a certificate of deposit, so that when your car goes bad unexpectedly you won't be sol. 6k isn't much of a buffer between yourself and bad luck. Don't blow it on anything useless or fate will have you laid off just for the irony.

Should I try to gamble it away on poker? Or invest it? Or just let it sit in savings accounts...

I have a car, I have a computer, I have a crappy laptop. A cellphone, a digicam, an mp3 player. I don't think I really need anything else...

So please, ideas. ;)

edit: And I have a girl, so the sechs is $0.
