I challenged my 4.5 yo to make some baskets on his Fisher-Price hoop. Since he made 3/5 at the 6' height I am paying up my bet by taking him and his 2.5 yo brother to Kung-Fu Panda tomorrow. I also lost a side bet and will be getting them some popcorn as well.

Since this is their first movie theatre experience I have no idea is the younger one can make it all of the way through without being a PITA; I'm pretty sure the older one will be fine. My other concern is that the younger one is going to pick up martial arts tips to try out on everyone.

I asked my wife to go with us but she said that I made my bed and now have to lie in it.

Update: My wife took mercy on me and came with us.

$20 in tickets for 4 people and free pop and popcorn refills, the 4.5 yo was great the 2.5 yo had to go 'poop' 3 times towards the end so we made a few dashes to the family bathroom. They were not the worst behaved and we are good at zoning out kid noise. I couldn't have it alone however.

I am thankful that I don't reside near any of your local movie theater RKS! 😛

dude your 2.5 yo WILL NOT MAKE IT.

you should split them up, take the 4yo and leave the toddler with mommy.

experience talkin here... 😱

that's my main concern. If it get's really bad I'll beg my wife to come up to the theatre and take my 2.5 yo home. I'm hoping the popcorn and the 'action' will keep him occupied. Hopefully there aren't too many serious Kung Fu Panda viewers at the 11:45 AM showing that we may disturb.

They'll be fine.

And if they aren't, don't worry. The theater will be full of kids behaving horribly. One great thing about going to those movies is that no matter how bad your kids are, there will always be someone worse.

Enjoy the movie!

since it's the early show maybe you could sit first row and let the 2-1/2 year old roam around the front when he gets fussy........might be enough to keep him entertained
