Iam going down to missouri to swap my Explorer for a minivan and am taking my 3.5 yr old son with me. 9 hours down, 9 hours back; could be fun, could be hell. At least on the way back there will be a dvd player for the boy.

Oh Lord. Have fun with that!!! Bring a lot of his toys...he's gonna get restless. Go play with him at a park or something and wear him out so he sleeps. The dvds will keep him busy on the way back...

we are leaving around 5 am so that he will sleep in morning and afternoon...i am kinda thinking about leaving even earlier.

he is a good kid, and is good natured, but lately every time he sees something halfway novel he goes, "tell me all about it dad." 😉 so i am in for at least 5 hours of that, plus any crankiness that will surely be natural.

but yeah, lots of toys, lots of snacks, and i plan on introducing him to the Beastie Boys and They Might Be Giants. 🙂
