Wish me luck, I'm trying to get out of my current job(I work for a non-profit) and into something more challenging and rewarding. I have my interview at 4:15 today. I've gone over a bunch of possible questions, reviewed all my database theory and modelling stuff, C++ oop stuff, created a project portfolio that shows the work I've done both academically and professionally. I'll kick myself if I dont get an offer. This will be my first "professional" job (I graduated Aug '02)....if I get it.

Have I missed anything? Anything to prepare for? Last minute ideas?

Have a list of references if possible...
For example on my resume i have references available on request and at one interview they said it says references are available, can you provide those? I reached in my folder and pulled out the reference sheet...

Well the thing is my current employers dont know that I am applying for another job. If I could get a reference from them, I know it would be stellar, since they really like my work and me as an employee.

Good luck on your interview. Don't be too nervous, they will pick up on it. Enjoy the experience whatever happens.

Surely they aren't the only one who could give you a reference. Personal references are good, too. Maybe some school profs or something? Good luck with the interview.

Don't forget to be yourself.

Don't over explain the question given to you.

Give eye contact.

I usually start an interview by talking things not relating to the job. I find that relax the applicant alot and when we get down to business they usually do really well. :)

Good Luck!!
