Check forums daily and other sites for some info on another CPU coming out. Currently have a 2500k and itching to build a third system ITX+Haswell or some other new cpu!

I just wanna upgrade in general.

my 2500k feels old.

I know it's not - but it feeeeels old.

So does my hd 7850 @ 1250.

It's scary - i didn't think id get back into the hardware game after the pentium\celeron oc era.

Now i litterally feel my e-peen growing smaller everyday as DooKey has 2 titans.
It's not fair :C

Grimpr:

I promised myself id wait til broadwell - but that ain't happening.

Haswell has to be severely crapped in the IPC ST\MT increases + severely worse general OC for me not to jump on it :p

If you have the funds and want the upgrade that will really make a difference, go for the 3930k.
Sandy to ivy is maybe 5% improvement and haswell optimistly another 5 to 10 percent. Unless has well has better thermals or is a great overclocker it will not be a major advance in the desktop.

Unless I have missed something in the last week, aren't we all pretty much aware that Haswell will be released the first week of June, and then, if early reports are accurate, we need to wait until July to get the next stepping without the USB 3.0 bug. I don't think anyone believes that it will be released sooner than this, unless I have completely missed something.

USB3 sleep bug is in the chipset, it's possible they'll have a fixed chipset before launch. Something to keep an eye on at launch time, imo.
