I vaguely remember the five days after the surgery. I was on some major druggage. Woo Hoo!! :D
(It wasn't much fun, though)

I never produced any wisdom teeth (X-rays reveal no wisdom teeth too). My structure is rather large and if I had produced any, there would be sufficient space for them.

Be tough and get off the vicodin as fast as possible, even if that means you'll be in pain.

...save it for when you're better. Have 2 beers, and one tablet....then take another tablet about 45 minutes later, and go to a dance club with lots of flashing lights and loud music.

I got my wisdom teeth out last summer. I got all 4 pulled at the same time, and went under local! They gave me some headphones during the surgery, and I specifically remember listening and watching them tear my mouth up, everytime it hurt i'd turn the music up REALLY LOUD. I remember listening to about 10 or 15 songs before they finshed, but it seemed like I was only in surgery for 5 minutes because I was so drugged up. IMO the worst part was spitting up blood for the next 8 hours, and tasting that nasty gauze in my mouth.

it wasnt as bad as everyone hyped it up to be... just gotta get extra gause when you leave, cause they dudnt give me enough.... umm it stopped bleeding like 3 hours after i got it done, and i took it easy the rest of the day, but went on with normal life the next day. i didnt get any swelling or anything either.

I had a similar experience. LiLRiceBoi are yours impacted? I had 4 pulled at once, two impacted, two not. Only got a local. I didn't feel any paid except for one time, at which point I got some more novacaine and then I didn't feel it anymore. I only took one pain killer after the local wore off. I had swelling for a few days but it wasn't bad.

IMO it also depends on the quality/skill of your surgeon.

The three that i have are all impacted. I got back about 2-3 hours ago, slept for about 2 hours and ate/drank a strawbarry tsunami from jamba juice. I think i'm doing ok.

Having teeth pulled is probably my biggest fear, no joking. I will not accept anything less than getting TOTALLY KNOCKED OUT! I refuse to be awake for the procedure, and here's hoping I never have to have one.

Almost everyone I know loathes going to the dentist, so why can't they figure out a damn way to make it painless 100% of the time!! :|

You should come see my dentist. If he didn't talk to me while he was working I would go to sleep.

I had four pulled recently.

Ice as often as possible.

Don't plan on doing anything for a week.

Get ready to lose weight eating nothing but yoghurt, ice cream, etc. for at least three days.

IMPORTANT: Keep the area clean!!!

Be careful with the vicadin. It's incredibly addictive. Don't take more than you need. You will most likely have some trouble getting off of it (sleeping, etc.)

You'll be ok though. It's a routine procedure, so try not to worry.

Good luck.

Its been about 26 hours or so. I was actually fine the first day after the local wore off. So after my 2 hour nap when I got home I was good to go. I felt/feel fine right now, jaw is a little stiff thats it. I took one vicodin and I dont think I even needed that.

Overall, things went more painlessly than I thought they would. My face isnt even really swollen, just a little warm.

my wisdom teeth grew in but they don't hurt me or cause any problems so i'm just going to let them be.

I got plenty of drugs. I one second I was staring at the ceiling, then next I was awake and the assistant was changing the guass for me before I left. :)

i only have 3 wisdom teeth....and i'm not gonna get them pulled. they're not impacted and it looks as if they're never gonna erupt into my mouth. so there's really no reason to take them out. as my parents say, billions of people all over the world never get theirs pulled and they're just fine.

I had four impacted wisdom teeth pulled about two months ago. It wasn't that bad, when I woke up I was real ditzzy, hitting on the nurses and laughing all the time. It effects people differentlly, some people wake up crying after the surgery for no reason. They gave me Vica-??? something not vicaden though, it worked real well. No straws, no hot foods, nothing you have to chew. I ate pudding, jello, apple sauce, mashed potatos, and Taco Bell beans for two days after that you can start to make your way back to a normal diet. Be careful when you brush and rinse real well, the docotor instructed me to rinse with warm salt water 3 times a day, starting on the 3rd day I believe. Good luck! ;)
