They didn't give you darvs or percs?

I had five out at the same time, one out the roof of my mouth.

Also had a tooth taken out 2 days ago. I aint complainin.

i just took the 7.5mg hydrocodone they gave me. Also, tomato soup is the best thing to eat for the first week, easy to eat

Just ice both sides of you mouth/jaw. Ice on for 20 min, ice off for 20 mins. repeeat. Take pain killers if prescribed. otherwise, take Motrin.

Oh suck it up... I had all four of mine pulled and I was fine. 😛

Take some of the pain meds the doctor gave you.

I had the exact same thing done three weeks ago. The oral surgeon gave me oxycocet (codeine + acetaminophen) but it made me sick to my stomach, so I didn't use it. What worked well was a combination of extra-strength acetaminophen (Tylenol) tablets and ibuprophen, along with the antibiotics I'm sure your doctor gave you. I'm a pretty big guy, and with 2 tylenols and 1 (big) ibuprophen every 4-5 hours I wasn't in a great deal of pain. Also very important is that you ice your cheeks religiously. This goes a very long way towards reducing swelling and bruising. Seriously, ice the hell out of your cheeks the first few days.

Goin to see The Man? (aka eye doctor) in about an hour. Earliest I could get an appt.

Glad to see ATOT is still the bastion of kind and caring individuals that I remember it as.

Your doctor/surgeon must have sucked.

I had 4 out and it was nothing.

Me too, I was back at work the same night as having my 4 out.

No need to get technical... it's simply Tylenol with Codeine.

Also, Ice your face... seriously. I didn't need to take the steroids for swelling, and I was fine just keeping bags of frozen peas on my face. Peas work well because they conform to the sahpe of your cheeks.

I had all 4 of mine out and was eating burgers the next day.

The only time I was sick was when my parents forced a pain pill down my throught. :|

ADVIL before the procedure, and ADVIL after when needed

Good idea. If the doctor gave you perks, they're habit-forming, so I would try to take Advil instead.

Had 2 pulled out of the top, 2 impacted broken out of the bottom jaw - painful for a week. Never took any of the hydrocodone they gave me ( makes me nauseous ). The best thing was taking a bunch of advil - kept the pain down.

I had all mine out in the same day while concious. It didn't hurt at all, I only felt slight pain a little after. About 3 days later, I was eating like normal. I guess I got lucky.
