Wisdom teeth thread DAY 4 update: I am getting worried

ok...its the night before d(entist)-day...

The oral surgeon called and said it will be between $200-$375 to pull all four...not as bad as I thought. I am really looking forward to having these things ripped out of my head.

Muahaha, enjoy ALL the hard foods you enjoy now because after you get them pulled you're gonna be so envious with drool coming down your mouth it won't even be funny. Trust me, I know this from experience. Drinking soup for three days straight is not fun by any means.

Also, PLEASE be sure to use the instrument that they give you to wash out the holes with water. Otherwise you'll get that a dry socket and that will not be pleasant.

Also, you will know how good your doctor is once the thing is over. If you feel pain the day after and it continues, your doctor sucked. I had all four out all impacted and didn't feel any pain after the initial surgery. I did, however, feel once or twice when they yanked the tooth from my jaw.

Getting my wisdom teeth out was the worst experience of my life. Having them pulled wasn't so bad, but taking perkaset for the first time and discovering my allergy to it sucked HARD. Not only was I without pain meds through the whole recovery, the reaction I had to perkaset caused me to throw up for ~18 hours straight. To make matters worse, it was saturday night by about 9pm when we realized this wasn't just temporary nausea. The doctor had left and all the pharmacys were closed until 9am the next morning, so I couldn't get any medicine for the sickness either 🙁. Worst night I've ever had to survive through.

What about oral surgeons?

I had a hamburger and ripple chips 2 days after I got mine pulled. I got all four pulled, and it really wasn't that big of a deal.

pretty gross (and blurry) pics of the teeth

better pics added. Check out the one with the hole in it. Is that how they get them out, drill a hole in it then pull?

got mine out last week, all 4 were impacted.. all i remember is seeing 3 needles in my arm and waking up in my bed, i remember walking out getting in my car and stuff like it was a dream. i been fighting with my parents the past few weeks and my mom said when she came to getme, i wassitting in the chair crying like a baby, saying im sorry for benig a dick, and grabbing her arm. doc said that knock out medicine does that to lots of teens. i remember hearing my self cry in my dreams but it was all wierd.

i jumped in my car, an said mom it dont hurt! WHAMM! i smacked my jaw, ahah i remember that, didnt hurt. then i saw my cousin he was walking in to get his pulled as I came out. i kept turning my head sideways outside the windows like dogs do when their confused and yelling very loud and choking on words cause I coudlnt get them out. I kept grabbing this sponge bob square pants drink bottle in the back seat and yelling " bob sponge bob spponge squarepants!!!"

i bleed LOTS, the suckiest part is not being able to brush your teeth for a few days. i couldt or it did hurt. if you have had braces, they hutr worst than getting my wisdom teeth cut out like when i first got em on and got em tightened, man that crap hurt.

there is pain but you wont feel it unless you skip your medicine. i had some left over🙂 fun fun!

over all it was a very fun/wierd/bloody experience.

lol ... wuss ... u cried

I have no hope of being able to open my mouth wide enough to brush my teeth.

You can just brush a little extra when you get back to normal, if it really bothers you 😀.

Congrats on making it to Day 3. More :camera:?
