Wisconsin wants to kill all mute swans in the state

The argument is that a couple of trumpeter swans, which were believed to have been hunted to extinction many decades ago, were recently spotted in the state. And since mute swans, which are not native to the state, don't get along with trumpeter swams, they (mute swans) should be killed. It sounds like a spurious argument to me.

EDIT: Mute swans condemned, but they won't go quietly

I wish I could kill those damn Canadian geese that forgot how to ****** migrate and honk all night long at the pond across the street.

Uhhhh.... unless I have something mixed up, there was a breeding pair of trumpeter swans that came to the lake at the Milwaukee County Zoo and were captured to help them breed. I don't think the babies didn't make it this year in the wild.

I guess I don't really know what's going on.

This makes me angry

When I lived in Virginia we had 2 mute swans that were super friendly and would come right up to you. I have pictures of them when they were walking over the stream when it froze over. Their babies were killed supposedly by a turtle in the stream. Mute swans are the best looking bird in my opinion.

And these 2 mute swans seemed to get along fine with the mallard, muscovy and canadian geese which were all around.

Mute swans are some of the most tranquil birds, its just so relaxing to watch them

The goose many people hunt is called a "Canada Goose" but many incorrectly call it a "Canadian Goose". Most people will tell you "Canadian goose" but that implies a goose from Canada, and not the correct name of "Canada goose".

I know I'm from America. Born and raised here.
The goose is gonna have to fight his own battle though.
