So they would be voting for a return to the Democrat policies? So they want a multi-billion dollar budget shortfall, quite possibly the loss of public sector jobs to balance the budget, and business leaving the state in droves?

Walker has balanced the budget without laying off anyone and businesses and jobs are flocking to Wisconsin. What would the Democrats run on? We want to return the state to the shithole that Scott Walker inherited and fixed it record time? (Unlike the useless Bobo the Post Turtle)

Walker's approval is in the toilet. I guess Wisconsinites don't agree with your rosy assessment.

I didn't vote this time. My choices were an asshole who leaves the state when he doesn't like a law that is likely to get passed or some jagoff who feels abortion is the big issue that needs to be tackled right now. I really did not like either candidate.

LOL Wanna bet?

Want to bet on what? Walker getting recalled? His policies being reversed? Walker held onto his position of Milwaukee County Executive easily which is a HEAVILY Democratic county doing the same stuff he is doing for the State of WI. The Democrats didn't throw him out of Milwaukee. If anyone was surprised by Walker's actions as Governor they are morons.

When you can't win, you recall I guess.

Assuming the dems hold on to their two seats, they still have to be the overall winners of the recall. Simply because control in the Senate is now razor thin, down from 57.% to a mere 51.5%. All it now takes is one vacillating Republican more worried about being reelected in 2012, to slow down the Walker radical right agenda.

That and the fact that Scot Walker has become the Wisconsin version of Governor Pete Wilson of California. Especially after even Scott supporting Republicans discover his policies do nothing to solve Wisconsin's problems.

Shouldn't the OP be back with a "we the people" have spoken?

They have. The people of Wisconsin have no interest in throwing the Republicans out of power (Or the Democrats who flee the state). IE, they are basically satisfied with their choices in the last election.

Part of the problem was the Democrats lost SO horribly in the last election and the Republicans won damn near everything, its much easier to pick off a couple Republicans who were in swing districts than it is for the Republicans to do it because they already picked off those people last election.

So yes, the people have spoken.. they elected a massive Republican majority 10 months ago which is still running the state. A bunch of sore losers wanted a do-over and picked off a couple seats which the Republicans were either weak or got elected in traditional Democrat districts. The Democrats spent about as much money on these STATE seats as they do for NATIONAL Senate seats in Wisconsin. They brought in MASSIVE outside support and could only manage to pick off 2 weak people.

Also don't forget the WI Supreme Court race just a few months ago also which was CLEARLY a referendum on Gov. Walker. The conservative won as well. So you have a Republican Governor, a Republican controlled house and senate, and a conservative leaning supreme court who voted in favor of Walker's reforms.

This state also threw Russ Feingold out of office as well in the past year, perhaps one of the most iconic liberals in the Senate.

So yes, definitely a Democrat revolution going on there. ():)

The budget is balanced, the raided funds which the previous Democrat stole from were paid back, no public sector jobs were lost, and jobs are increasing in Wisconsin at a record pace. Sounds like its working to me. What would be success to you? Billions more in debt, businesses fleeing the state, and massive layoffs?

You won what? Absolutely no control over any branch of Government in WI? Wow. Congrats on that.

Hey numbnuts if you knew what you were talking about there are 2 Repug Senators who aren't in lockstep with the GOP sooooo that means Gov. Walker doesn't have the rubber stamp he once had before.

404: Success not found.

ProJo's links forget to mention Dems already had agreed to the cuts, they just didn't want to give up collective bargining. But even in the last (only non-biased link) they're still having defecit problems.

Do you recall if Soros rams his agenda down your throat? Or do you enjoy that in your throat?

Milwaukee COUNTY is.. not the city. BTW, the county is now run by a Democrat. Coincidence?

Right.. so closing a 3 billion dollar budget shortfall that the Democrats left him without layoffs and massive tax increases is a failure in your mind now. I guess he should have went even more into debt, laid people off, and kept the state in a financial mess.. maybe he would run for President then.

You guys are pathetic.

Earth to Nick, Earth to Nick, I don't ever recall Soros running for any political office so he could ram any agenda down anyone throat. Or maybe you want to talk about the Koch brothers who Scott Walker will transfer Wisconsin State assets to those rascals.

And long after Scott Walker is a distant memory, there will be thousands of Wisconsin families who will never vote Republican again in their lives.

Just returned from Yahoo news, with the polls barely closed, and already the major networks are saying the dems retained their two seats.

And another interesting factoid emerges, one of the remaining 17 GOP Wisconsin Senators actually voted against the Scott Walker agenda.

At least I won't have to stay up to 1 AM or longer to see who won in the mixed Milwaukee district, the two remaining dems survived in a remarkably early total slam dunk.

30% is high turnout? lol

I was thinking pretty much the same, 30% seems really low to me.

edit: nvm, only some 60% participated in the voting for president. Democracy seems kinda unimportant to many Americans.

Come on people, it's Wisconsin. Who really cares? It's not like this is football or anything else important.
