I haven't been to Wisconsin Dells in a few years(well actually stayed there anyways). In the past I've gone with family to The Wilderness Resort. http://www.wildernessresort.com was always a pretty nice place to go as they had a big waterpark for guests only. I'm planning on going to Wisconsin Dells with some friends this summer.

I'm reading through tripadvisor.com and finding a lot of bad reviews though.(maybe they changed haven't been there for several years) Anyone been to Wisconsin Dells recently or The Wilderness Resort that had any suggestions or information they can share?
 
I heard that the lake there literally washed away and dried up. Might be able to find some really good deals goin there, but without the lake, lots of the attractions are gone.
 
Lake Dalton is empty. I haven't stayed there is years though. I live close enough to drive back home when we go there.
 
I've never stayed there overnight, but one of my coworkers goes every now and again. He says that "The Wilderness" is the best hotel in that area he's stayed at. I guess they have a full sized wave pool indoors, as well as lots of other stuff. He also liked the Calahari hotel.
