Is it possible to connect two 80 mm 3-pin high flow panaflo fans to just one channel on a aerogate 2 controller? I tried using a y-connector but i just shorted out the channel. Do I need to use some other type of fan adaptor to run the fans in series...or is it parallel mode?

the controller probably can't handle the combination of the voltage (or maybe current) of those two fans, so a different adapter wouldn't help.

depends on the fans. You have to check the current rating (watt divided by volt) of the controller. And make sure its HIGHER than the combined current rating of both fans.

It's current

it can handle 2 fans but you have to leave out 1 yellow wire from one of he fans.

Once again, it depends on the current draw.

my controller has 18W ratings for each connector. 18/12 = 1.5, so I cannot put any fan that draws more than 1.5 A, or any combination of fans (in parallel) that draw more than 1.5A.

I have some 1.5A fans btw, large 120mm fans (which i dont use atm).
