I've got a Dell Inspiron laptop that I cannot get it to connect to my Linkysys wireless network. The card is working fine. Packets are being sent and received. The connection speed is 11 Mbps.

I can plug in my Cat5 cable and then I can connect to the internet and do email.

What the heck am I missing here?

Thanks

You made sure your laptop's wireless card is using the same SSID, same WEP settings, there's no access list or MAC filter on the wireless access point preventing your laptop from joining the network, and can you ping any device on the network wirelessly?

I'd set the DNS statically maybe to 192.168.1.1 if you're using the default setting for Linksys stuff. And defnitely relay whether you can ping another IP in the above range. -Tal
