Wireless USB adapter

I use a netgear wpn111 for temporary connection of desktops that freinds/ family ask me to work on... I run "N" just fine...
 
Would I benefit by using a usb "n" modem rather than my netbooks built in "g" when I visit Starbucks, etc.?
