I'm wondering if anyone can link me to a good scanning tool that give you the type of encryption, type of network etc. As well, a great side bonus would be a wep cracking program/ a program that does both.

not going to help you crack wep, that sounds like you might be violating some laws...

as far as scanning, netstumbler is very nice
 
Last time I checked breaking my own wep key wasn't against the law.
Before you ask " why would you want to do that?" Becuase I want to see for myself how fast these cracking programs can really break a wep encryption. So when I give people advice, I have a better idea of what I am talking about.
