Wireless to neighbor's house a success!

Could not get more than 20 feet away from my house with a Linksys PC card in my laptop, got the Orinoco Silver, HDcom.com's little antenna for it and their directional antenna and I easily hit 120ft away with about 80% signal strength in all directions. There is not even a need to point the little Silver's antenna towards the house and it works great. Trees in the way and everything.

hdcom.com are really good people to deal with and are very helpful. (I am in no way affiliated with them).
 
That is cool, but next time buy a cisco card and Ap...i can get over 100 feet with mine out of the box....
 
yup...cisco wireless is the sh!t! had to pleasure of working with a cisco wireless access point here at work along with a cisco wireless card and a linksys card...the linksys didnt come close to getting the same reception and signal strength that the cisco did....well worth the xtra $$ IMHO
