Wireless speeds

I have a ASUS RT 66 I note while connected to the Router DL is 44mbs, upload is 7 mbs, , when I connect directly to the cable modem. DL is 200mbs upload is 7mbs , I am suppose to get up to 200mbs DL and up to 20 mbs upload. Even my ISP, Mi Connect wasn't sure why my Upload speeds are not higher. Evil squirrels?,

Think I need a newer faster router?

Thanks

Is this over a wired connection, or wireless? Try connecting wired to the router, and wired to the modem, and see what you get.

Or maybe you have a setting on that is disabling Nat acceleration.

Is QOS running?

Save your settings reset your router to factory defaults then test it again.

There's a reason wired connections aren't obsolete. It's because wireless performance varies greatly. You're basically NEVER going to get max advertised speeds on a wireless connection.
