Wireless speed test?

I just got a G router. Before I send in the rebates (and the UPC thus making it un-returnable) I want to make sure I'm getting a significant upgrade in speed over my current 802.11b.

Does anyone know of a bandwidth tester for internal PC-to-PC tranfers? I know I can just time the transfer of some large files and watch the windows "spedometer", or download the same file off of the internet at both speeds, but I'm looking for something more precise. The only tools I find are for internet bandwidth testing.

After reading the page, log here: Qcheck Download.

You have to give some personal info, but this Application really worth it.

Down load the Main program and a copy of the stand alone End Point.

Install the Master program on one computer (Main computer, or serve). Install the End point Client on all other computers on the Network.

You can always use the network tests in Sandra.

Another vote for qcheck for simplicities sake. Personally if I want accuracy I am going to transfer a large file myself, typically via FTP, rather than use a benchmark but to each his own and qcheck is a painless and easy operation.
