Wireless setup Question

OutHouse

Lifer
I would love to setup a wireless network in my house, but i I only have a dialup connection and will never have broadband due to geographic location.

Is there a way to hook up a wireless LAN and put the IP address of my PC that dials up the internet in the router as a Gateway??

There has to be a way to set this up. Like right now i have a dumb switch and i can bring any laptop over, plug it in and it can get on the web. couldnt I do the same thing with wireless??

Plug the router's regular port into the network port of the dialup pc, or into the switch. You have just made the "wireless router" an Access Point. It should work just like if it was wired, i.e. get ip from same source (dhcp server, or manual) and have the same setting as it did when wired.
