Wireless set-up using SP1

I can't upgrade to sp2, despite many tries and attempts with MS support. I just set up a linksys wireless router to my PC and cable modem. My wife's new DELL notebook came yesterday and has SP2 which has a wireless setup wizrd that unfortunately doesn't work with my version of windows (SP1) Since these wireless systems predate SP2, can someone walk me through getting my PC setup so that I can share the internet connection with the NB. The router is a "G" and so is the NB.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to have your setup like this: cable modem -> wireless router -> 2 computers
If you can, hook the desktop up wired and not wireless. SP1 sometimes actually works better than service pack 2 for wireless.
