Wireless security assistance needed

I got a Dlink 802.11G 624 Wireless Router, it works great, right now i have it set up using 128 bit wep, but what can i do to take the security a step further yet? I've been hearing about WAP and it supports it but im not exactly sure as to how to use it. I for some reason can't find a guide to securing your network which is really weird. Anyways if anyone could help me out that'd be awesome!
