Wireless Router to Stream MKV with Attached USB HD

Looking to set up a 2 pc media center, and want to start small, just dumping my blu-ray collection to a harddrive as mkv's.


Whats a good router to look at?

The streaming will occur over a wired network. Wireless is for all my laptops, phones, etc to connect to.

This is generally a bad idea as using your router as a NAS has terrible performance (no usb 3) I would suggest leaving the hard drive attached to one of your pc's and just leaving it on to share with the other PC or consider a dedicated NAS.

Yep, it might work OK for a backup setup but I wouldn't stream from it.

Grab some old hardware lying around and setup an UnRAID box.
