Wireless Router Recommendation

I'm in the market for a router that is 1.) Vista supported 2.) dependable and 3.) has a strong wireless signal. My budget is $85.

What are some models I should be looking at?

TIA

Currently the best bang for the buck, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833162134

Why?

It is very stable.

It has High Power RF Amplifier, which enhanced dramatically the distance keeping the Signal to Noise Ratio Low.

Out of the Box it can do Static DHCP, Repeater/WDS, and Client Mode (Wireless Modes - http://www.ezlan.net/Wireless_Modes.html ).

If Flashed with DD-WRT free 3rd party firmware it can do Qos (game throttling) and much more. http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php?title=DD-WRT_Docu_(EN)

The Buffalo routers do not support client mode out of the box. They have a "Wireless Ethernet Converter" for that. The routers can support client mode via third-party firmware.

The current G54 line is also slated for replacement shortly by the G125 line. This should in theory mean good deals as the old stock is cleared out, but the reverse might even be true while shoppers look for the old model names based on reputation.

The G125 line is said to have better processors and radios. The unamplified radio version WHR-G125 is already in the field. The WHR-HP-G125 is on on-line catalogs, but not officially released.

I'm not sure why your bumping this, just go with the WHR-HP-G54, with a budget of $85, this will work just fine, has everything you need and if you flash it with other firmware, will be much more than you need. Honestly, in the SOHO range, the only ones I recommend at all are the WHR-HP-G54 and probably the zyxel from all the good reviews I'm hearing, but the buffalo is flashable and cheaper.
