Wireless router recommendation

Looking to hook up a PC and an iBook with an airport card to a wireless router. Needs to be strong enough to support a modest sized house through one floor. Or at least be able to add something to extend the range.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does the airport card support 802.11b/g? If so, any brand wireless router will serve you well. For comparison's sake, I'm using a Linksys wireless G (WRT54G) router. I have it based in the bedroom on the main floor at one end of the house. I can connect to the Internet with my laptop in the basement at the far end of the house with no problem. The signal strength dips down to 30-40% at that range but, it's adequate to support an Internet or VPN connection. This router can support up to 32 devices (including both hard wired through the built-in 4 port switch and wireless connections).
