I have two wireless routers that both give the same results:

When i connect to the device with a cable, everthing works perfectly, but when i try to connect wirelessly, the computer does not recieve tcp/ip data from the router so it just configures an internal address. I tried configuring the tcp/ip manually, but even though it said connected, IE would not load any pages.

Any ideas. is the internal wireless card bust or something???

Thanx

thanks, i have tried disabling all av and firewalls plus the encryption. Its not the first wireless network ive set up either.

Im guessing the problem lies within the Internal wireless card?

EDIT: ok i disabled the firewall on the wireless router and it started working (only with no encryption), but strangely enough, it says that it is not connected in the "Wireless network connections" window and in the network connections (the button bellow says: disconnect). Im not quite sure what to think

I've seen where a Linksys WiFi router will "forget" how to function wirelessly, but works fine by wire. A re-flash of the firmware fixed it.
