wireless questions

Omnidirectional antennas, "vertical beam width" (I usually see them at ~15 degrees). What does that mean? If that's what I think it is, an omnidirectional antenna isn't really omnidirectional because it dosen't radiate the signal 360 degrees in the form of a sphere.

Extending wireless coverage, Going with a repeater solution dosen't really work since I read it cuts power in half or something. How about having two APs connected to the same switch? What my question is, how will a wireless client handle having two access points with the same SSID and channel in the same area?

so that means it would be best to have the omni on the same level as the users instead of on a high roof or something?

If the users are directly under the roof it is a bad location.

However if the users are a distance away it is a good location.

Inside it is better to maintain similar level.
