Wireless Problem

I have two computers connected with an ADSL wireless modem/ router.
One computer with USB adapter and a laptop with built in wireless card.
Setting the two computers up went ok also setting security (WPA-PSK)
No problem but when I have one pc on and connected then connect the second one I loose connection on the first one.

Can anybody point me in the right direction?

 
It sounds like No Routing.

Not clear how you are connceted to the Router.

USB?

Are you sure that it is a Modem/Router Combo.

i am connected to one pc with usb wireless network adapter and the laptop with built in wireless network card
