wireless problem

i am trying to connect my laptop equippd with integrated wifi 802.11g to the wireless. The problem is it gets connected. I can also ping the wireless router. But there is a very slow exchange of packets (sent and received). I cannot go to any website. The signal strength is excellent, the speed is 11Mbps, but it won't connect to the internet. 🙁
