Wireless problem with laptop *need help*

A friend is trying to hook up his emachines laptop with integrated wireless to the internet via a siemens router. The laptop won't recognize the router at all. No internet or link to network. I think the problem is in the settings on the integrated wireless. He can't figure out how to access those settings. I'm sure somebody knows how to access these settings with XP home. Help would be greatly appriciated!

The settings would probably be in one of the network cards listed. Try going to Control Panel > Networks > and double-clicking on Local Area Network
