I'm going to buy a networkable printer and put it where wires can't be run. I've seen wireless print servers that i could use such as Print Server I'm really cheap though, so is there any option using another wireless router with DHCP turned off? For example could I go from: main wireless router------>wireless router with DHCP off--------->network printer. I'm guessing this probably won't work but it's worth asking.

You're describing a wireless bridge. You can buy off-the-shelf client mode bridges which will do the job. E.g. Buffalo "Wireless Ethernet Converter". Or you can take a standard router which is compatible with third-party firmware such as DD-WRT, load the firmware, and run it in "client bridge mode". E.g. Linksys WRT54GL, Buffalo WHR-G54S, Buffalo WHR-G125.

If the printer is already Network capable you can not use a Wireless Printer server.

You need a driver-less wireless client card (aka Game box card).

Alas, these Game Box wireless cards are expensive (for no good reason).

So as posted above by Madwand1 get the $39 Buffalo WHR-G54S flash it with DD-WRT and use it as a Cleint Card (Consumer Bridge).

Thanks for those options...i was also wondering if there are any consumer purchasable NIM devices that i could hook up to a Cat 6 line in the house and use that to extend my network downstairs. I have Moca networking setup through Verizon FIOS but i'm just not sure where to get another NIM.
