Just got done benchmarking the first set of Wireless networking hardware from Intel and got some D-Link to do this weekend. The stuff is incredible, just wait till we post the review, but here are some early benchmarks:
Transferring a 100MB Worth of Files From A LAN Network Server:
Wireless Network:
1 ? 2M 47S
2 ? 2M 46S
3 ? 2M 47S
Wired Network:
1 ? 44S
2 ? 47S
3 ? 43S
This is a huge difference between wired and wireless, but keep in mind that Wireless Networking only uses 11MB (Effectively only 10Mbps max because it communicates on a 10Mbps network port) whereas the wired network communicates on a 10/100 switched port.
Look forward to our full review on hardware-unlimited.com, this stuff is amazing.
