Wireless network

For the wireless network stuff. I know there are already A, B, and G that is for consumers use for mass adoption I believe. I was thinking that getting a wireless A/B access point combo would be a good deal, but I have a question about this, and that is, is B compatiable with G, and G campatiable with B? Will I run into any problems if I get a A/B combo and a wireless G client want to connect to the network?
 
The g client would connect at the b signalling rate, whatever that might be, 11/5.5/2 or 1 Mb, depending on your environment variables. .11a radios wouldn's come into play at all. Completely different radio/frequency.
 
so basically, B and G are compatiable both ways, right? The only difference is that if you have G and G, then you would get the full speed, right?

.11g clients will associate to an 802.11b AP, just at 11 Mb and using CCK modulation.

Yes. Of course, if you have a .11g AP, and .11b clients, the client devices will not associate at 54Mb. The wil associate at 11 Mb under optimal conditions. I expect you understand that but I wanted to clarify just in case.
