Wireless Network...word up

Something like the Linksys WAP11 would work quite well for your AP - $134.99 @ CDW
2 x Linksys PCMCIA Client Card - $82.28 @ CDW
If you intend on using the PCMCIA cards, you'll need a PCI adapter for each- $45.99 @ CDW


would this be sufficient ...don't feel like having to get the adapters.

Those are just PCMCIA -> PCI adapters. You have to have one to use a wireless card in you PC (unless you use a USB client). They have the same adapter card on that page for $25.

I have found the best PC cards, the Orinoco Gold for as cheap as $50 on eBay plus shipping & handling.

Damn, where were you guys when I sold my brand new Orinoco router for $75 and my Orinoco Gold and Silver cards for $50 and $60 in the FS forum? I couldn't sell it for weeks.

I am confused by this statement...don't you still need the cable modem in addition to the access point??
